Assistant Manager - Maintenance (Discovery Chemistry)

Job Description

This role will support the engineering team to maximizing performance levels and competency for an organization in aligning with quality and safety standards.Key Responsibilities: Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance for Lab equipment, qualification, and utilities operations and maintenance. Shall respond immediately to stoppage of operations due to breakdown or other reasons and turn around at earliest. Should handle the documentation related to events / incidents within the quality framework. Should write / change SOPs to standardize maintenance work practices. Shall work on spares management ensuring timely availability of required accessories. Shall drive execution on various digitization and safety enhancement initiatives in the laboratory and utility area. Shall lead team of maintenance executives Shall work on daily energy reports, monthly MIS reports and ensuring expenses spend are within the budgeted. Shall work on preparing Opex and Capex budgets Responsible for operations & maintenance of utility equipments like Chillers, VRF, AHUs, Air compressors, Nitrogen plant, water system etc. Responsible for Electrical installations maintenance Responsible for Engineering projects, conceptual, preparation of BOQ, technical comparisons, detail engineering and execution. Responsible for Mechanical Maintenance of Lab equipments like Fume Hoods, Vacuum pumps etc., Responsible for Quality Management System related to E&M at MN Park site Responsible for preparing daily energy reports, Monthly report & MIS Responsible for implementation of strategic initiatives like enhancement of safety standards ,energy conservation techniques & Good engineering practices etc Responsible for overall maintenance of Chemistry Labs & its associated utilities in MN Park & Innopolis site, Hyderabad Attend the knowledge and exposure to environment, health, and safety (EHS) practices Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety.Educational Qualification: BE/B.TechTechnical/functional Skills: Should have relevant field of experience in CRO or API plants in setting up of R&D Labs & its Maintenance. Should have thorough knowledge of Auto CAD should have knowledge of SAP Should be well versed with Plant maintenance aspects of Discovery Chemistry Laboratories and within the framework of Quality Management System for facility. Should have hands on experience on Plant equipment like Fume hoods, Rotavapors, automation in process, Hydrogenation Lab, Lab ventilation and exhaust system, walk in enclosures, cold storages, basic electrical maintenance and operations and maintenance of Utilities like Chillers, Air compressors, N2 Generators, Vacuum pumps etc., Should be technically thorough on control logic automation. Should have hands on experience in Lab modifications and infra projects from concept to execution till commissioning. Should be well versed with QMS framework in digital environment, change management, deviation, report writing, equipment qualification etc. working closely with the team from Quality Assurance. Should be hands-on in SAP for raising purchase requests, getting the required spares stocked by working closely with Sourcing teamExperience: 7-11 years of experience in engineering and maintenance.Behavioral Skills: Good speaking-listening-writing skills, attention to details, proactive self-starter Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, ambiguous environment. Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions for the maintenance/operation.,
