Job Description

    About the Department :Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department of Promotion for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.We are seeking candidates for the Telecom sector team at Invest India (Make in India vertical). The role will enable the candidate to learn more about the Telecom ecosystem in India and work directly with key industry and government stakeholders to drive Indias growth strategy and lead national initiatives for the development of the domestic telecom ecosystem.Key Responsibilities :- Sourcing strategic investments to build an investment pipeline of companies that have the potential to invest in India. This includes analysing investor signals and developing frameworks for an accurate investor targeting strategy.- Facilitation and handholding of new and existing investors in market entry strategy and expansion advisory, policy advisory, JV & strategic partner search, and issue resolution.- Formulation and implementation of national strategies and development of favorable policy frameworks in partnership with the Line Ministries, to provide an impetus to the Indian Telecom ecosystem.- Liaising with Line Ministries, prospective investors, and Industry Associations.- Preparing pitch presentations for investors considering business expansion and research documents for policy inputs for Ministries.- Organizing stakeholder consultations, roundtables, and investment promotion events to pitch investment opportunities across the sector.Qualifications:- Bachelors or masters degree from a premier institution in Engineering/Economics/ Commerce.- 2-4 Years experience in the Telecom sector in functions like consulting, investment banking, product management, research, start-up, etc.- Strong communication, coordination, and relationship management skills.- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, MS Word, Power-Point and Strong Presentation Skills.- Self-motivated individual with a passion to contribute to Indias growth story and keen to make an impact in a fast-paced, purpose-driven work environment.,
