Job Description

    EMA Sector Senior Executive Healthcare & Lifesciences Grade Manager/Associate Director Reports to EMA Sector Head and EMA Sector Program Director Group EMA Clients & Markets Location of hire India, KGS Type of hire Permanent Is travel required in this role Yes, occasionally dependent on Sector requirement and current travel restrictions Background The market is increasingly competitive, and KPMG is committed to enabling and empowering its people to win new business effectively and efficiently. EMA is the largest and most diverse of the three KPMG regions. Comprising more than 100 firms from the Caribbean to Bangladesh. Covering the continents of Europe, Africa, Middle East and South Asia there are over 100 languages spoken; more than 100,000 people; and time zones spanning 15 hours (GMT +10 hrs to GMT -5 hrs). EMA Clients & Markets is a team with a regional remit focused on professionalising sales and embedding business development best practice through priority accounts, sectors and segments, and functions. The team works directly with Heads of Clients & Markets, Lead Partners and their Client Service Teams to support the roll out of a consistent, best practice business development approach to drive revenue growth on accounts. The EMA Sector Heads commit just 25% of their time to the role, and the remaining 75% to other responsibilities, including client delivery and so the role of the Sector Senior Executive will be critical to driving implementation of the business plan. Sector Senior Executives will become the right hand to the Sector Head to drive implementation of the business plan. Our offshore centre in India has a large team of researchers, designers, analysts and also Global Sector Executives, by co-locating this team together they benefit from cross-fertilization of ideas and direct access to other support needed to fulfil their roles.Based on the calibre of people we attract to KPMG in India we are looking to hire BD or marketing professionals that have first-hand experience working in the sectors that they re appointed to, or bring some knowledge of the sectors so that they can be of immediate value to the sector community. Role Working with the EMA Sector Head, you will support in:
    • Engaging in the development and implementation of the sector Business Plan
    • Driving strategic growth across the sector through working with account teams, solution teams and alliance partners
    • Promoting KPMG brand in the market, through social media and in the real world
    • Leading on the implementation of the EMA marketing and communication plan for the sector
    • Being the market voice in solution development
    • Supporting Global Lead Partners and Country leaders within the sector to drive growth
    • Co-ordinate pitch support and debriefs on the most strategic opportunities
    • Event management and sponsorship coordination, where required
    • Overall general co-ordination of the Sector activity building a strong community across a diverse region
    % of time Accountability 30% Support Direction and Leadership of the EMA Sectors:
    • Work closely with the EMA Sector Head to manage the Sector Community and help drive the sector initiatives.
    • Manage strong regional (internal and external) sector networks, driving managed collaboration activities to deliver on strategic objectives.
    • Work closely with the EMA Sector Head and the EMA Sector Program Director to ensure consistency in delivery of sector activities across sectors and in executing to agreed central strategy.
    30% Driving Growth Across Sectors:
    • Working with the EMA Sector Head, to drive and monitor growth progress on EMA Global Accounts, Global Platinum Accounts headquartered in EMA and EMA Priority Accounts within Sector; monitoring pipeline and actual revenue results.
    • Act as an interface between the EMA functions, country Sector Leads and Solution leads within the Sector. Work with the Account teams to create demand for the solutions, and with the EMA Sector Head to ensure a market lens is applied to the development of solutions.
    • Working closely with Global Sector Heads and Global Sector Executives to co-ordinate efforts to drive growth across EMA headquartered Global accounts, coordinating the regional response to the Global Account Planning process and support the CSTs for the Global Platinum Accounts headquartered in EMA.
    • Ensure that major pursuits are appropriately supported and key sector insights and inputs secured, including personal engagement of leadership where required.
    • Coordinate and contribute to the Sector community and share best practices.
    20% Deploy Thought Leadership Campaigns:
    • Support the development of plans and initiatives to increase KPMG s voice in the Market, bringing us closer to being no.1 or no.2 in of the Big 4 firms across the region in the sectors
    • Working with the EMA Sector Head, sector subject matter experts and marketing specialists, to co-ordinate, develop and deploy points of view in the market and specific Thought Leadership materials.
    • Liaise with other Global and EMA Sector Executives to develop cross-sector Thought Leadership initiatives, materials and campaigns.
    20% Budget Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Manage the resources and budget at the disposal of the EMA Sector Head to deliver on the strategic direction and objectives, including leading on budget planning and reporting
    Experience and qualification
    • Strong experience in BD, sales or marketing is required
    • Experience and knowledge in one or more sectors gained working directly in the sector, or in a B2B environment with that sector as a client base
    • Implementing sales and BD best practice including account / business planning, effective pipeline management, and building propositions for clients
    • Strong program and change management experience, and evidence of successfully delivered projects including those which implement change
    • Previous success in bringing new ideas, and implementation of strategic projects
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
    • Experience living or working outside native country is an advantage
    • Qualified to degree level
