Job Description

  • To provide histology support as a histotechnician.
Key Responsibilities:
  • The candidate must have a thorough technical knowledge and hands on experience in various routine histology techniques.
  • Ability to handle clinical pathology instruments will be considered as an added
  • Should have an ability to conduct necropsy of laboratory rodents, organ collection, identification, tissue trimming, embedding and sectioning procedures independently.
  • Must have a relevant experience on processing and sectioning of tissues from laboratory animals .
Educational Qualification:
  • Any bachelor s degree with proven experience (5-8 years) as a histotechnician in a toxicology CRO or a pharmaceutical company.
  • Having DMLT certification will be considered as an added advantage
Technical/functional Skills:
  • Ability to handle various histology instruments independently.
  • Ability to conduct rodent (rat and mice) necropsies, organ identification, wet trimming and processing of tissues from laboratory animals independently.
  • Ability to carry out routine paraffin sectioning independently.
  • Ability to troubleshoot the problems related to histology artifacts and quality control issues independently.
  • Experience in handling clinical pathology instruments is desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience:
  • 3-5 years as a Histoechnician in a reputed toxicology CRO or a pharmaceutical company.
Behavioral Skills:
  • Teamwork, attitude to learn new techniques for eg. pathology related software, digital pathology techniques.
  • flexibility to learn and contribute in a cross functional setting.
