Job Description

    The Content Marketing Manager will own Dataquest s inbound organic traffic generation. Your overarching goal will be to grow organic traffic to the marketing site and increase signups. You will deeply understand our audience, develop and execute a content plan to get them to action using the right messaging, channels and cadence.Dataquest is known for its high-quality learning content; the job of the content marketing manager is to develop the same quality standards across our blog, marketing site, and social channels to position Dataquest as a leader in online technical skills training.This role is ideal for someone who was experience with marketing to a tech audience and executing a Content and SEO strategy, who is able to use their tech-knowledge to create impactful external communication.You will report directly to Celeste, our Director of MarketingWhat success looks likeYou will be successful in this role by positively impacting HCO Organic Signups and improving Top Keyword rankings, as well as being consistent with Dataquest s values:- Put learners first.     • Create and execute a Content and SEO strategy
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of the Dataquest marketing site
    • Manage contract resources for content creation and SEO
    • Complete keyword research and position monitoring
    • Create and maintain a content calendar
    • Maintain an SEO maintenance process to update pages, fix broken links, etc.
    • Report weekly on organic traffic
    • Develop, send, and track weekly newsletters
    • Collaborate with the team on our Value Proposition
    • Collaborate with the Digital Marketer to create content partnerships and assets
    • Collaborate with the Digital Marketer to maintain and grow Dataquest s SEO presence
    Tasks
    • Build a high-quality content presence for Dataquest
    • Work with design and engineering to maintain and improve our marketing site
    • Scrutinize our old content to maintain quality standards and accuracy
    • Maintain a priority keyword list and monitor keyword performance
    • Manage outside contractors to source high-quality content for the blog
    • Set priorities, roadmaps, and performance guidelines for content contributors, including community writers
    • Develop editorial calendar, delegate tasks, and ensure deadlines are met
    • Ensure the website is following the most up-to-date SEO practices
    • Track keyword search rankings
    • Track organic and direct traffic sources
    • Ensure a steady stream of student success stories and business partner success stories are available for use in promotions
    • Execute a quarterly outcomes survey and report on the blog

    Requirements
    • 5-10 years of relevant work experience in content marketing, writing, editing, journalism, or another relevant field.
    • Outstanding writing and editing skills.
    • Proven experience creating a multi-format, content marketing strategy that increases sign-ups
    • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills
    • Youre a storyteller, understand our users and are able to adapt your communication across channels and format in order to reach and engage your audience
    • Youre great at partnering with team members across the company to gather insights and distill them into compelling content
    • Youre organized, able to manage complex projects and keep various workstreams on track
