Job Description

Description

The successful candidate will work with our Milliman India Network Infrastructure team to provide PC and network functions to support the network and end users in our India location. Duties may include setting up and configuring desktop PCs, laptops, installing and upgrading Windows, software and assisting with network hardware/software issues, and other networking tasks as assigned.

This is a full time position depending on candidate s availability. This position is available immediately and open until filled.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Create and maintain systems and procedures documentation.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any

tasks

  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
  • Liaison with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows based environments.
  • Solid Knowledge of Server operating system and server services (DNS,DHCP,File server etc)
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware)
  • Experience with monitoring systems
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell scripts)
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Good knowledge of encryption technology (eg; BITLocker)
  • Hands - on experience with Windows environments and Microsoft systems administration.
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti - malware programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare technical documentation
