Job Description

    DevOps Engineer - OpenStack InfrastructureThe Red Hat OpenStack Platform team is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our OpenStack Engineering Group. In this role, you will be part of a team that will help us develop and maintain the upstream continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) infrastructure for the Red Hat OpenStack Platform as well as contribute to the development of our offerings. Youll have the opportunity to work with offerings like Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat OpenShift, Ansible by Red Hat and to collaborate with some of the brightest engineers in the open source industry. As a DevOps Engineer, you will have a particular focus on the Red Hat OpenStack Platform and Opendev integration testing and related CI/CD infrastructure. It will be great if you have software development experience, virtualization experience, solid debugging skills, and a quality-oriented mindset.This role can be remote and we are open to finding someone in Spain, Italy, Portugal, the Czech Republic, or Poland. What you will do
    • Help design, enhance, and maintain the upstream CI and continuous delivery (CD) toolset with a focus on OpenDev Infra, RDO, OpenStack Operators and Zuul CI projects
    • Work closely with the OpenStack engineering team
    • Debug and isolate faults in our offerings in complex integration environments
    • Analyze metrics and data to refine and improve the CI and CD processes
    • Assist with building out and maintaining the infrastructure for scaling OpenStack CI
    What you will bring
    • Experience with DevOps operations
    • Written and verbal communication skills, fluent English language skills
    • Familiarity with build tools and Cl systems like Zuul CI, Jenkins, etc.
    The following are considered plus:
    • Familiarity with open source monitoring and log management tools like Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, Graphite, Collectd, Sensu, Nagios or Zabbix
    • Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of current Cl tools and technologies and to quickly learn and use new tools and technologies
    • Knowledge of orchestration tooling, for example Ansible, Puppet, etc.
    • Experience with source code control tools like Git (GitHub/Gerrit)
    • Development and scripting abilities in Python, Bash, etc.
    • Good system understanding and troubleshooting capabilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly distributed, and multi-cultural environment, both independently and as a part of a self-organizing team
