Job Description

Plans the diet of patient as per the recommendation of the doctor.
Prepares the diet plan according to patient preferences, religious & cultural beliefs and clinical condition.
Ensures to provide adequate nutrition according to patient s requirement.
Makes sure that all patients in her allocated area gets individualized attention.
Ensure timely assessment and recording of therapy plans done as per protocol.
Helps the patient to understand the nature of disease and provides insight into the dietary influence on the disease process.
Provides counseling to inpatient on discharge as referred by doctor and also outpatient counseling to OPD diet clinic.
Keeps herself updated about professional knowledge, reads journals / literature and recent advances.
Writes articles / participates in seminars / conferences.
