Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Responsible for S3D and SPEL set - up
  • Active participation in Technical discussions with the team for Setup / Configure applications, as required by the project
  • Interface with other Smart Plant tools for Integration and data exchange using Smart Palnt Foundation (SPF)
  • Intergation with ETAP
  • Maintanenance of 3D Model environment for stability and ensure the modelling environment works appropriately to generate, control and distribution of 3D model interfaces
  • Collect and implement project hierarchy structure, name rules, border file, volume naming definitions, project specific pick lists, common filters, catalog components, and surface style rules.
  • Development and implementation of new procedures, guidelines and workflows as required
  • Load code list, standard reports and templates, upload/bulk - load catalog and reference files, develop/modify drawing templates, create project specific symbols.
  • Interact with End uers to support, troubleshoot, interact with vendors, resolve licensing issues.
  • Testing applications and participate in certification process for new versions of applications
  • Provide training to users / super - users on application
  • Interaction and communication within Automation and IS&T groups, Corporate teams, GBU / Site offices, FSM / UPM, Functional management in local and overseas offices.
  • Maintain / develop standard reporting practices
  • Flexible to work in shift timings as required
  • Ability to create, setup and manage the S3D and SPEL which includes: project configuration; permission groups, access rights, and project hierarchy
    • Catalogue and Symbol customization and development Deliverable customization i.e. reports, schedules and drawings as per the project needs General drafting capability in AutoCAD, smart sketch and Microstation applications Drawing and report creation and extraction Ability to administrate and maintain database server in Oracle and MSSQL for use of SPEL
  • Ability to use SQL and VB to update database contents as well as to customize deliverables to suit company and client requirements
  • Integration of SPEL and SP3D with other Smartplant tools such as Smartplant Foundation which includes mapping of SPEL fields to SPF, other applications as well as publishing documents and drawings on SPF
    • Knowledge of Electrical Modelling /Equipment Modelling /Hanger and Supports / Drawings and Reports Module in S3D Ability to create and manage drawing view styles and templates Ability to create department standard and project specific reports and reporting methods as needed.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Work processes and Data flow between tools/applications.
  • Good understanding of Database structures and application architecture for supporting Applications. Familiarity with Oracle, SQL Server, Access databases
  • Good understanding of application architecture concepts and standards, set - up and migration procedures
  • Basic knowledge of hardware and operating systems including system architectures, network infrastructures, etc.
  • Undersstanding of Electrical deleiverables which includes One Line Diagra, Schematic, Cable Schedule, and over - all Cable management
