Job Description

    • Developing software solutions that help our clients to design, implement, manage, and evaluate Distributed Energy Resource (DER) programs.
    • Manage and analyze large datasets using advanced R and Python and ability to present analytical outputs using PowerBI, R and/or Python visualization tools.
    • Support the optimization of existing in-house data analytics engine and tools.
    • Support the development of internal- and external-facing tools and workflows that enable strategic decision-making processes.
    • Ability to take on the processes of data quality, data cleansing and data transformation along with data modelling using various mass market models.
    • Assist with Distributed Energy Resources (DER) evaluation, potential studies, emerging technology impact studies, program design etc.
    • Develop processes to assess Distributed Energy Resources (DER) value for US utilities and/or government agencies.
    • Assist with evaluating and benchmarking DER programs; and developing and designing innovative DER program strategies and roadmaps with the help of data analytics.
    • Prepare and present persuasive presentations and short reports to stakeholders, co-author reports and other client deliverables, journal articles, white papers, and marketing pieces.
    What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):
    • Bachelor s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, management information systems, engineering, or related field
    • 2+ years of experience in the Python data ecosystem
    • 2+ years of experience in the R data ecosystem
    • 1+ years of experience with cloud computing (Azure, AWS, etc.)
    • A basic understanding of the energy industry
    • Experience in general application programming and database concepts including writing analytic SQL scripts
    What we would like you to have:
    • Fluency in Python and R, and one or more of the following languages (Java, SQL, etc.)
    • Working knowledge of general machine learning algorithms for time series forecasting.
    • Experience with statistical data analysis, experimental design, and hypothesis validation.
    • Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
    • Experience in productizing machine learning algorithms and the ability to deliver data science components that are part of successful deliverables.
    • Azure certifications (e.g., Data Engineer Associate, Data Scientist Associate, Database Administrator Associate, Solutions Architect Expert)
    • Exposure to agile way of working and Continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
    • Experience with integration of energy modeling tools (e.g., OpenStudio, EnergyPlus)
