Job Description

What Youll DoYou will be playing a pivotal role in our bank as a web developer through this role. We will look to you for expertise in designing web-based applications that improves our rates of customer satisfaction and overall performance.Your day-to-day activities in this role will include:
  • Validating all code written for both yourself and your peers
  • Writing resilient code and creating web-based solutions that helps the bank to grow
  • Assisting in managing environments and code through QA and release processes
  • Assisting in managing the businesss activities (helpdesk, system captured error resolution, tuning, tweak/ enhancements etc)
  • Working on Proof of Concepts and pilots, making sure they align to industry standards
  • Design, build and maintain an accurate, responsive and compelling front-end to deliver the required content to the applications user base
  • Gathering the requirements, design and build new system functionality as provided from key business stakeholders
  • Providing 2nd line support.
The Skills Youll NeedTo truly excel in this role, we require that you have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, similar or equivalent experienceWe are looking for the following skills in our ideal candidate:
  • Extensive experience in developing industry standard web-based applications
  • Knowledge and experience with relevant web-based languages and technologies
  • Experience in working on Agile projects
  • Ability to rapidly and effectively understand and translate product and business requirements into technical solutions
  • Clear understanding of how our particular area of expertise supports RBS customers, ranging from applications and services supported/developed to decisions taken with the objective of producing high availability, low cost systems
  • Hands-on experience on web application toolset (ASP.NET, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, React, Bootstrap, C#, CSS, coding standards)
  • Formal training in techniques for requirements, system and business analysis
  • roficient use of specialist development software including Visual Studio and Toad
