Functions / Key Results Expected
Processing and follow up of legal cases under crop insurance schemes filed against the MoAFW.
Vetting of draft counter reply being filed on behalf of MoAFW in respect of above cases.
Briefing of ASGs, senior government council, advocates in respect to the defence at the time of entrusting the case and again at the time of arguments.
Expediting the compliance of court orders in respect of the crop insurance cases. Visiting to the court as when require.
Filing of appeals in higher courts regarding crop insurance cases wherever required.
Monitoring of all court cases including on LIMBS portal.
Travelling to different city for any legal matters.
Perform any other tasks consistent with the level of the post and/ or assigned by the NPC - TSU; Joint Secretary, DoAC&FW, MoA&FW.
Minimum five years of relevant experience in handling legal cases for corporates, insurance companies, Central or State Government Ministries.
Exposure in handling insurance claims, underwriting, vigilance would be an added advantage.
Usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and advance knowledge of web-based management systems is required.
Language Requirements:
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Hindi is essential
