Supply chain management is a process heavy business. The journey of a shipment across the world is documented via process maps and offers multiple possible variations, decision points and customization possibilities. Our customers customize the core offering to suite their business needs and processes which adds an additional layer of complexity. While they have some visibility into the movement of shipments, they are also supported by a team of 4500 customer service enablement (CSE) team who work behind the scenes to ensure smooth operations. At present the SCM capabilities are supported by a 30 years old main frame system. Over the past 2 years we have embarked on a journey to move capabilities to a digital ecosystem which supports current day customer expectations, driven by data, promotes automation, standardization and self-service. Given the complexity of the business, under appreciation of inter module dependencies, siloed requirements, limited understanding of agile processes and MVP roadmaps; the progress has been slow and labored. Helping to drive engagement with stakeholders. Driving agility and quality to ensure the team delivers the right quality product. Assisting the teams in constantly improving the quality of their deliverables and meeting the Definition of Done. Advising Senior Stakeholders on Scrum and Agile at scale methods and processes. Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example. Guiding and Coaching the Scrum Team and organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers Guiding and Coaching both the Scrum Team and the Development team on how to get the most out of self-organisation Guiding the team in establishing normalized estimates and helping the team understand how to estimate Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organisation and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organisation Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment. Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving. Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work. Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information Actively Participating in the Scrum Master/Agile community, sharing and re-applying skills. Organises and facilitates daily stand ups, sprint planning meetings, backlog refinement, retrospective meetings and sprint demos. Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining(aka grooming) and managing the product backlog. Ensure the teams have all the resources they need to remove impediments in a timely manner. Identifying training needs and providing coaching/mentoring.Show More We are looking forThe key skills that will be required by the Scrum Master: First level Scrum Master certification Proven ability to facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint retrospective, daily stand ups and other agile events. Experience of working with multi-location teams Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a Scrum Team, with overall 10+ years of experience Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.) The ability to distinguish between what is Scrum what is not Scrum Preferred Skills/Experience (Any of these is a plus) Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least four years for a Scrum team. Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc) Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc. Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, Nexus, LeSS, SAFe, Crystal, FDD, etc Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.) Previous experience as a collaborative leader Excellent communication and mentoring skillsThe key behavioural traits expected by a Scrum Master: Friendly and communicative person.
