Job Description

    Job Characteristics To ensure the smooth functioning of UNIX Infrastructure and timely compliance for the new change requests. To be able to work on all available UNIX versions. To be able to cater all types of UNIX server requirement and is capable of introducing new technology in DC so as to provide better and more reliable service to customers. To foster relationship and teamwork within the team and the business users.Key Responsibilities: 1. Monitoring and Managing Unix infra - Monitor and manage routine System Implementation/ Maintenance Activities for UNIX platforms such as IBM AIX 2. Technology Evaluation - To evaluate new Solutions or technologies to cater to any business requirements or technological challenges being encountered in the existing landscape. 3. Capacity and Capability Planning Managing capacity on the basis of system performance & prepare systems for future workloads. 4. BD Support Services - Support BD group for various pre-sales and post sales activities requiring IT Infra Data Centre expertise. 5. Server Operations Ensure daily operations for critical Infrastructure hosting business applications like SAP ISU, RF canopy etc.Knowledge & Skills Required:1. Experience on preparation of RFPs, Presentations, Policies, procedures, award applications and response to audit findings etc.2. 3 4 years relevant experience and L2 / L3 Level knowledge required on UNIX platforms such as AIX . Candidate must be certified on AIX, Virtualization Platforms. 3. Should have knowledge of VIO, AIX upgrade, File system management, DLPAR and HMC management. .4. Strong problem solving and communication skills.5. Complied with soft skills in communicating with the staff, vendors and customers in a courteous and professional manner.6.
