Responsible for the overall supervision of technicians and other staff in the department.Responsible for supervising the receipt of samples by the department staff.Responsible for supervision of performing the routine procedures and perform special tests of the department.Responsible for the maintenance of stock in the department and raise an indent to stores as and when required.Responsible for equipment maintenance in the department.Supervises the typing of reports and correct dispatch of reports.Responsible for maintaining statistics of data collected during hospital surveillance.Responsible for keeping the record of outsourced tests & their status.Responsible for conducting disinfectant Quality checks, surveillance of dialysis water, water analysis and critical areas.Responsible for the surveillance of proper waste disposal and to maintain a record of all needle stick injury.Responsible for preparing the duty roster of the technicians in consultation with the HOD.Responsible for training the junior staff and students in various procedures of the department.Responsible for training the DMLT students in various procedures of the department.Any other responsibility as deemed fit from time to time by the Management.Key Competencies:Basic computer SkillGood technical KnowledgeCarries out all instruction effectively.Commitment.Participative.Tolerant.,
