Job Purpose The main role of Medical Liaison (ML) is to develop the identified operational support functions (medical capacity, medical advocacy and innovation) of the MSF India Branch Office according to the Strategic Plan. Key Accountabilities Responsible for relevant analysis and advice to the Management Team of the MSF India Branch Office Advice the Management Team of the MSF India Branch Office on future direction and development linked to its medical capacity Responsible for the further development of medical (advocacy and context) capacity for the MSF movement in the MSF India Branch Office. Coordination of the MSF Scientific topics for South Asia Development and implementation of MSF Scientific topics South Asia follow up activities Development and implementation of a networking strategy and plan in coordination and aligned with the MSF Access Campaign and MSF India Operations Development of relations and coordination with relevant existing positions in the MSF movement (MSF HART, Manson Unit, etc.) and the Indian society. Responsible for the assessment and potential development of innovative capacity for the MSF movement in the MSF India Branch Office. Active liaison with existing innovative capacity in the MSF movement MSF missions in India and the region, with MSF offices, MSF Access Campaign and the wider MSF movement (executive and associative level). Active liaison with relevant institutions, companies, organisations and universities in India and the region Responsible for attending MSF international meetings as appropriate Key Dimensions Financial Dimensions Responsible for managing the annual budget allocated. Other Dimensions Responsible for a total of 1 staff Key Performance Indicators Proposals for the development of new added services from the MSF India Branch Office to the MSF movement Key Interactions General Director Members of the Management Team MSF Operations Access Campaign MSF HART Relevant platforms in the MSF movement Relevant stakeholders in the Indian and South Asian Governments Other Indicative Requirements Educational Qualifications Functional / Technical Skills MBBS or other similar medical qualification Relevant Experience 5 years MSF or iNGO or Public Health working experience, preferably internationally and in a senior management position Other requirements The capacity to both develop a strategic vision and work on specific dossiers. Excellent in networking A good knowledge of the Indian and South Asian context Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional regional languages, a plus. .
