Middleware Technical Account Manager Bras liaLocation Brasilia - MSOPosting date 7 hours ago(3/17/2021 8:21 AM)Job ID 85565 Category Technical Support Job summary The Red Hat Strategic Customer Engagement team is looking for an experienced, enterprise-level Java software engineer to join us as a Middleware Technical Account Manager in Bras lia, Brazil. In this role, youll provide architectural guidance and implementation advice to customers for the Red Hat Middleware portfolio of solutions. Youll provide a premium level of support that builds, maintains, and grows long-lasting customer loyalty by understanding their IT infrastructures, internal processes, and business needs, facilitating collaboration with their other vendors, and advocating on the customers behalf. Primary job responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with key business and IT stakeholders and become an expert on customer implementations by understanding their top business goals and priorities
  • Perform technical reviews and share knowledge to proactively identify and prevent issues
  • Forewarn customers of technology changes or potential disruptions to their service and advise them on mitigation strategies
  • Provide advice and guidance to customers about their current and future Red Hat s offerings
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and guide issue escalation with Red Hat and customer teams
  • Complete analysis and present periodic reviews of operational performance to customer leadership
  • Perform technical reviews and share knowledge to proactively identify and prevent issues
  • Gain an understanding of customers technical infrastructure, hardware, and products
  • Partner closely with Red Hat s Engineering, Product Management, and Technical Support teams to debug, test, and resolve issues
  • Perform initial or secondary investigation and respond to online and phone support requests
  • Deliver key Red Hat Middleware portfolio roadmap updates and assist customers with product upgrades
  • Manage customer cases and maintain clear and concise case documentation
  • Serve as the customer advocate within Red Hat
  • Travel regionally to visit customers occasionally
Required skills
  • 5+ years of professional Java coding and development experience
  • Development-level experience analyzing and debugging Java and C++ application issues at the language-level, including code development, code review, stack traces, etc.
  • Direct experience with Java middleware technologies like Red Hat JBoss EAP, Red Hat Fuse, WebSphere, and WebLogic
  • Practical experience with messaging and streaming platforms
  • Experience in a support, development, engineering, or quality assurance organization
  • Ability to take ownership of issues while maintaining a high level of detail
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to manage and grow existing enterprise customer and partner relationships by delivering high-quality support
  • Bachelors degree in a technology-related discipline, preferably in computer science or engineering
  • Experience with business logic and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud solutions is a big plus
  • Knowledge of JEE platform and experience working on large-scale enterprise Java projects is a plus
