Job Description

  • Responsible for all aspects of the assigned shift operations: safety, production, quality, waste, on time delivery, communication, and employee relations.
  • Responsible for communicating with management on department operations on a daily basis.
  • Audit processes for fabric quality issues and non-conformances to departmental and company policies.
  • Collaborate with employees and managers to solve work-related problems.
  • Follows up and/or solicit ideas and suggestions from direct employees on methods to improve processes, including safety, and quality.
  • Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
Monitor performance to department goals and communicates with employees.Perform periodic department inspections and utilize all resources (people, equipment, materials and the facility) to provide a safe and productive work environment, including housekeeping, for all employees.
  • Documents/communicates safety problems and assures resolution.
  • Supports efforts by the company to strive for continuous improvement.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by direct supervisor or other management team.
  • Handle production shifts
