Project Quality & Safety Leader About Alstom in India Alstom has established a strong presence in India. Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. In the Mainline space, Alstom is executing Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343 Km. section on World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. Phase 1 in the construction of the new electric locomotive factory for manufacturing and supply of 800 units of 12000HP locomotives is also complete at Madhepura, Bihar while the depot at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh is ready to commence operation. Alstom has set up an Engineering Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, and this coupled with a strong manufacturing base as well as localized supply chains, is uniquely positioned to serve customers across the globe. • Support the Project Team, to ensure the project Quality assurance by coordinating all quality and safety activities throughout the project
• Ensure that all the Lessons Learnt of all the Functions have been considered in the Risks & Opportunities and closely monitor to prevent occurrence
• Ensure and improve the tender quality during tender phase upon request.
Accountabilities & Authorities: Customer Quality Be the interface with the Customer quality and safety teams Project Quality
• Ensure that safety assessment is correctly implemented (i.e.: safety review) and prepare safety authorization.
• Ensure quality of the modifications made during the project
• Support the project teams (mainly the PM) to prepare gate reviews & follow up related action plans
• Project execution controls
• Establish the Project Quality plan and ensure the proper application during contract execution in accordance to the contract requirements, and to the Alstom processes
• Ensure that safety assessment is correctly implemented (ie : safety review) and prepare safety authorization.
• Control project deliverables compliance through inspection and audits - to authorize presentation / delivery to customer
• Ensure quality of Field operational process to achieve good output
• Manage Non conformities and Safety issues and animate problem solving during project execution phase
• Measure and improve project quality performance
Measure and improve project quality performance:
• Manage Non-conformities and Safety issues and facilitate problem solving during project execution phase to reduce the costs of non-quality (8D, deployment of lessons learnt and standards evolution)
• Improve the efficiency of quality teams to reduce the function costs Make sure that Engineering team is included in Customer issues solving process(if needed).
• Oversee Industrial quality, QMS and SQA activities where needed.

Competencies & Skills - (Technical & Behavioral)
• Rigor, Effective Communication and knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI Dev 1.3.,) and quality tools
• Experience in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools.
• Awareness on Processes and Products delivered in the project,
• Experience in operational activities and in documentation management.
• Experience in Quality / Project Maturity Gate Reviews Collaboration and team working,
• Minimum 10 years of experience.
• Fluent in English.
