Job Description

Ensuring safety of self, teams, and lab/plant by adhering to safety protocols and following environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace. Ensure all assigned mandatory trainings related to data integrity, health, and safety measures are completed on time by all members of the team including self Compliance to Syngene s quality standards at all times Hold self and their teams accountable for the achievement of safety goals Govern and Review safety metrics from time to timeJob Purpose: Primary responsibility for all aspects of mammalian/microbial cell culture, including media and buffer preparation, culture initiation, propagation, and cryopreservation of cells while adhering to quality systems.Key Responsibilities: Responsible for execution at bench [~100% time] for Mammalian/Microbial fermentation process development and process transfer for large scale in support of biopharmaceutical development programs - and will work with crosss functional departments. Performance of basic laboratory protocol studies, including basic calculations and data recording. Media/Feed/Additives preparation in both mammalian and microbial fermentation. Performing mammalian/microbial cell culture process development experiments in shake flasks, and bioreactors. Recording data contemporaneously, posting in the respective excel sheets and plotting graphs. Handling 10L/50L bioreactors and Ambr 250 bioreactors. Analysing in-process culture samples using Vi-Cell, BGA, Osmo and Nova, UV. Performance of general laboratory tasks like maintenance of equipment, calibration and PM. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety and company policies. To perform in-process testing during experiment. Should be able to troubleshoot in case of any deviation from process/parameter. Assess/investigate the reason for process/equipment failure. Evaluation of incoming technical documents for process understanding. Preparation of documents required for execution and technology transfer. Review and interpretation of data received from analytical functions. To co-ordinate with analytical and other functions on planning of experiments and intimation of samples and tests to be performed. Maintain the laboratory with all necessary requirements and track the inventory to ensure minimum stock is maintained. Based on business requirement job role has all shifts including night shift. To carry out other responsibilities that may be assigned by the Superior.Educational Qualification: Bachelor s/Master s degree in Life SciencesTechnical/functional Skills: Good knowledge of upstream methodologies Basic knowledge of computer [MS office]Experience: 0-3 years of experienceBehavioral Skills: Goal oriented Good at Documentation Able to handle multiple projects in parallel Be Committed.,
