Job Description

Research DirectorRequired Educational QualificationPh.D with 15 years aboveRequired work experience15 yearsPrimary Job Responsibilities

Business, scientific and regulatory oversight of performance and specialty materials functions.
Act as an expert for polymerization chemistry, process scale up.
Strategic planning and execution of R&D and scale up projects.
Proactively ensure the timely execution of development projects to supply the required quantities of the various chemical entities including polymeric materials and specialty chemicals for various studies in a communication driven, collaborative and customer centric environment.
Mentor the team and implement systems for continuous improvement of communication, customer interaction and high-end tools and methodologies.
Track and manage capital projects.
Establish functional capabilities by setting up facilities and attracting scientific talents.
Ability to lead large cross functional team comprising scientists, Engineers and technologists for polymer as well as specialty materials including early and late phase pharma molecules.
Envision and establish niche capabilities within the performance and specialty materials team.
Ensure the technical and financial deliverables of the team.
Track and manage capital projects.
