Job Description

Genomics group is looking for a motivated scientist, with strong experience in genomics, next generation sequencing, single cell genomics and functional genomics to work for early drug discovery. The person is expected to have strong understanding of NGS data analysis. Key Responsibilities: 1. Carrying out qPCR and NGS assays including single cell genomics 2. Partner to drive the programs and provide actionable leads from genomics assays 3. Optimize fit-for-purpose assays based on requirement of programs 4. Understand and contribute to analysis of high dimensional data for actionable leads 5. Contribute to genomics strategy for early drug discovery phase 6. Ability to work on multiple projects and effective communication with stakeholders. Ensure quality of work and delivery of results within stipulated time frame. Educational Qualification: Ph.D. Scientific/Technical Skills: 1. Strong experience in genomics, NGS, proteomics, functional genomics & cell biology areas. 2. Demonstrable experience in driving a scientific project using genomics, NGS-based approaches 3. Strong understanding of analysis of NGS data for QC, ability to independently conduct the analysis will be a plus 4. Strong understanding of statistical principles for analysis NGS data, specifically for transcriptomics data analysis 5. Communication and presentation skills. Experience: 2-5 years Behavioral Skills: Ability to work in collaborative atmosphere. Strong communication and presentation skills.
