Job Description

    • In this position, person will be responsible but not limited for developing, executing and managing downstream or development activities to support the process development, technology transfer. As well as;
    • Providing guidance through technical expertise and knowledge, Downstream purification
    • To identify and implement new initiatives (Technology etc).
    • Responsible to ensure that all work is carried out meeting technical quality and documented to the of standard and compliant with quality systems.
    • To be responsible for and to coordinate the transfer of processes from Development to GMP manufacture, including associated documentation.
    Key Result Areas Role-specific:
    • Should be independently lead team for 2-3 projects and representing as SPOC for these project (attending, presenting data in client/ internal meetings)
    • Accountable for planning Execution/guide of laboratory experiments and documenting them in details in laboratory note book.
    • Inter and Intra departmental coordination, as a SPOC and representative of the department
    • Responsible for the laboratory compliance (documentation, equipment monitoring) and lab management.
    • Lead lab meetings and guiding/leading lab management related activities
    • Providing guidance through technical expertise and knowledge, Downstream purification

    • Responsible to ensure that all work is carried out meeting technical quality and documented to the of standard and compliant with quality systems.
    • To be responsible for and to coordinate the transfer of processes from Development to GMP manufacture, including associated documentation.
    • Overall, knowledge of downstream unit operations for large molecule is must. Preferred candidate should have worked on Mammalian cell culture derived mAb and/or non-mAb protein and .or different mAb formats
    • Should be conversant with interpretation of analytical and process data (e.g. proteins).
    • Should be conversant with downstream process Scale-Up principles and have been involved in at least one scale-up related activity.
    • Should be conversant with QbD principles and developed process using DoE approach
    • Proficient in handling of Chromatographic systems and awareness OR hands on experience about
    • Possess good communication skills (written and oral Communication), Good at documentation skills (Report Preparation, SOP s, etc)
    • Should possess a sound knowledge of operating Tangential flow/Chromatography, filtration/viral clearance and interpreting experimental results using standard tools.
    • Should be proficient in MS excel, MS power point presentation.
    Education and Experience Education Ph D/M. Tech/M.Sc.-Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry, BioChemical or Chemical Engineering Industry Experience 8-12 years of relevant experience Other competencies required for the role
    • Should have the capability to work in a team and ability to handle demonstrate a good team and leadership spirit (developing others, collaborating and influencing).
    • Should be proactive, quality conscious, result/customer focused while working on allotted responsibility
