Job Description

    Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining Akamais cloud storage platform. Our enterprise grade solution is an essential element to Akamais Connected Cloud platform. We provide a scalable and secure storage solution for our customers to build their businesses.Partner with the bestIn this role, you will focus on designing and building highly usable, reliable and scalable storage solutions. Our platform empowers enterprises to create modern solutions to the worlds problems.As a Senior Architect in our team, you will be responsible for:
    • Designing cloud storage systems, with scalability, security, and performance in mind
    • Working closely with product management and engineering teams to develop solutions that meet the product requirements
    • Conducting research on emerging trends and technologies related to cloud storage systems, and make recommendations for improvements
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that storage solutions integrate with other products and services
    • Ensuring that the storage system is properly documented, and have support and maintenance processes
    Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:
    • Have 12+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Have experience in software engineering, with a focus on software architecture design and development in storage technologies
    • Have experience in system architecture design and implementation with a track record of delivering scalable/reliable/secure solutions
    • Have experience with cloud storage technologies, such as object storage, block storage, and file storage
    • Have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/Google Cloud and industry standards like PCI DSS and GDPR
    • Have experience in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud technologies, as well as GIT, JIRA, Bugzilla, Jenkins etc.
