Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business and hold an Active Top Secret SCI Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph. What you will do
• Guide customers in building scalable, optimally managed solutions and adaptable to technological improvements using Red Hat technologies
• Continuously learn, grow, and adapt to new skills and technologies
• Travel weekly to client locations
• Routinely assess, design, and implement Red Hats core offerings, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat OpenShift, and Red Hat Ansible
• Be the subject matter expert at the client site, addressing the technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions
• Proactively assist customers with design, development, and management of their system provisioning strategy
• Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner
• Help to integrate third-party applications to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), including monitoring and system performance tools, as well as backup and restore agents
• Develop an internal network of reach back resources in order to answer questions on emerging technology offerings such as Red Hat OpenShift
After joining Red Hat, you will undergo an intensive training program on Kubernetes and OpenShift technologies and related DevSecOps topics. Heres how your skill set will evolve and what youll learn during your first year in the role:In two months, be prepared to join a project team by acquiring the following:
• Knowledge of how to deploy source code into running, scalable containers in an automated fashion at an enterprise scale
• Practical experience with our offerings
• Certification(s) in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and related Red Hat technologies
Within six months, be ready to design container platform solutions and lead routine container platform projects by attaining the following:
• Completing customer project(s) using the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and related Red Hat technologies
• Understanding of how Red Hat s technologies can transform software delivery practices at large organizations
• Contributing lessons learned, best practices, and how-tos to our internal and external communities of practice
Within 12 months, be ready to design multi-product cloud-ready application solutions and demonstrate technical leadership in container platforms by accomplishing the following:
• Understanding of how to stand up production-ready container platforms integrated with existing enterprise systems
• Enabling customers and helping other consultants learn DevSecOps principles, container technologies, and release engineering practices and processes
• Applying new technologies, frameworks, or methodologies to production-ready cloud solutions
What you will bring
• Required Experience:
  • Experience with delivering an implementation based on an architectural design
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a technical project, including collaborating on project timelines and maintaining project and technical documentation
  • Ability to identify stakeholder needs and set expectations regarding project timelines and scope of work
  • Experience working collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Knowledge and desire to mentor
• Technical Skills:
  • Associate or Bachelors degree or higher in computer science or a technical discipline
  • Experience leading successful modern cloud platform consulting engagements
  • 5-7 years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system security, system deployment, and system administration
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with Linux kernel internals, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, bug fix updates, and core builds
  • Strong proactive problem solving and consulting skills
  • Knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as AWS, C2S, GovCloud, Azure, etc.
  • Highly motivated and able to learn on your own, as well as quickly pick up new technologies and best practices
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or willingness to pursue certification
  • Security+ certification or willingness to achieve certification
  • Minimum Top Secret SCI security clearance with a full scope polygraph
  • Applied knowledge and experience working in agile, scrum, and DevOps teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
