Job Description

Senior Manager, Manager Performance Improvement Mining and MetalsIMining and Metals sector is facing significant challenges and also interesting opportunities due to the advent of new technologies, recent wave of economic nationalism impacting globally integrated supply chains and environmental concerns among others. With an uptick in the ore prices, economic recovery and the expected consolidation in the sectors, most of the established sector participants to focus on operational efficiency improvement as well as establishing innovative sales channels. We expect a significant increase in demand from clients in the sector to solve some of their most complex supply chain and operational challenges. With this perspective, we are ramping our capability and capacity in the Mining and Metals sector. We are looking for Senior Manager(s)/Manager(s) level resources with experience in operational improvement, manufacturing excellence, supply chain planning/execution, network optimization and S&OP. You will be expected to have an appreciation of applying digital technologies and analytics for delivering such engagements.The opportunityWe are looking for Senior Manager/Manager level resources with experience in operational improvement, manufacturing excellence, supply chain planning/execution, network optimization and S&OP. Some experience in mining and metals sector is a definite requirement.Your key responsibilitiesYou re likely to spend most of your time directly influencing and engaging our clients, while coaching and developing your team, ensuring the right professionals are always there to help resolve our clients issues. We ll also look to you to improve performance by identifying areas for development within our current processes and practices. You ll be working on complex projects for some of the most well-known clients across multiple industries. You will be required to undertake a significant amount of travel.Client service delivery/execution

  • Manage multiple projects, engagement economics and receivables, project resources and team utilization
  • Lead the delivery / execution of high quality deliverables and manage service quality, brand and client expectations

  • Contribute to brand development by writing articles, developing thought leadership and point-of-views
  • Contribute to knowledge development and management
Business development
  • Manage clients & accounts and built professional relationships
  • Meet business development targets by identifying new opportunities with existing and new clients

  • Good leadership qualities. Experience in leading and managing teams.

To qualify for the role you must have
  • A bachelor s degree in an Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.), Business, Supply Chain or Logistics discipline or CA + Master s degree (MBA- preferably from a premier institute)
  • 7 to 9 years of relevant post MBA experience within a consulting environment (preferably) or Industry background (Business excellence / functional role) with significant expertise in at least three of the areas listed Business transformation, Business process Re-engineering, Market assessment, Post-merger integration, Strategy and Business planning, Sales and Marketing improvement / transformation, Strategic Cost Reduction, Supply Chain Management / transformation
  • An existing network of industry contacts
  • A record of excellence in providing advisory services across at least three of the supply chain areas listed Business transformation, Business process Re-engineering, Market assessment, Post-merger integration, Strategy and Business planning, Sales and Marketing improvement / transformation, Strategic Cost Reduction, Supply Chain Management / transformation
  • Strong analytical skills and business insight, as well as the ability to increase revenue and develop new prospects
  • Practical knowledge of selling and providing assessment, design and execution support
