Job Description

    • Issue notices (in case of breach), ensure timely reply of notices and ensure relevant documentation is updated in system for all legal related matters of labour, health and safety, contract labour, Factories Act, environmental laws, Industrial Disputes Act, etc.
    • Keeping track of all matters civil, labour, consumer (handled at Plant), MACT, criminal pending before courts / authorities. Briefing Advocates in advance to enable proper representation of the Company before the respective courts / authorities. Plan & ensure speedy resolution of litigations. Avoid litigation wherever possible. Ensure to take pro active actions in the matters wherein warrants, summons etc are isssued by Police authorities on complaints by suppliers, labour, public at large and to ensure to take all such legal actions to protect the executives from any coercive actions
    • Handle any dispute with local bodies/ other authorities on matters related to property tax, LBT etc.
    • Providing legal advice and guidance on all kinds of legal matters to plants and subsidiaries in terms of plant property and environment
    • Vetting legal contracts (contract clauses) including NDAs., MoUs., Defense contracts, wage settlement clauses, etc.
    • Handle all legal matters including criminal prosecutions in cases of any accident in Plants
    • Monitoring compliance of laws and regulations for all operations in plants for Tata Motors, Town Water Filtration Plant and Town Sewage Disposal Plant
    • Handle all legal enquiries related to the Plant
    • Negotiating large and strategic contracts for the company
    • Ensure legal compliance for all service contracts (direct / indirect materials)
    • Ensure compliance by monitoring the legal compliance tool and work towards improving the compliance for ensuring uninterrupted operation of manufacturing facility
    • Studying claims filed by an individual or other business and find appropriate methods to save and ensure minimum loss to the company
