Job Description

    Position Summary with Job ResponsibilitiesPosition Name: Senior Manager Vehicle System Engineering Suspension. Location(City/Region): Pune BU: BU Engineering(CV) Function: Vehicle System Engineering Hiring Manager Name/Function/location: Anil Sinha Head VSE Role Reports to(Designation - Role of reporting manager): DGM Suspension, VSE BHR: Archana SARAF Band & Level: L5(5.3/5.2/5.1) Brief Role Description(one line description including travel if any): Design and development of Suspension system and for commercial vehicles. MHCV Trucks and Buses experience is preferred.EducationWork ExperienceJob roles & responsibilities: 1.Concept design and finalization for suspension system for commercial vehicles. 2.Design calculation of suspension components like leaf springs, coil springs, shock absorbers, Antiroll bar, etc. 3.System level design calculations for suspension like roll rate, rollover threshold etc. 4.Preparation of CAD Model and layout of suspension system 5.Basic CAD modelling, design of casting, forging and sheet metal components like brackets, saddles etc. 6.DMU Check points (critical clearance analysis), axle path and wheel envelope, etc. 7.Preparation of pneumatic circuit diagram for pneumatic suspension, axle lift mechanism etc. 8.CAD drawings preparation & release in PLM to be done. 9.Understanding FEA reports and ADAMs analysis reports and modify design accordingly 10.Field/testing failure analysis and 8D and closure of the same to resolve the issue. 11.Close interaction with various agencies like Vehicle integration, testing departments, CAE, QA etc. 12.DFMEA, design rules and DVA completion 13.Interaction with suppliers & co-ordinate for part development & validation 14.Delivering VAVE projects & resolving IPTV issue. 15.Co-ordination with Plant CFT team for resolving Manufacturing & Assembly issuesEssential & Desirable Education/Qualifications/ Work experience/technical skills i.e. what are the must haves for this role Education , Skills & Experience Education: B Tech /M Tech in Mechanical/ Automobile Engineering. Years of Experience : 2 to 6 yearsSkill Sets : Technical 1.Advanced Skill level required in Pro E software for 3D part modelling, assembly & drafting of 2D drawing. 2.GD&T knowledge is a prerequisite 3.Strong Knowledge in PLM design release process. 4.Strong Knowledge in theoretical calculation for mechanical components. Air suspension design knowledge, Rubber components design knowledge would be preferred. 5.Strong knowledge in new product development process - From concept design to commercialization stage. 6.Hands on experience in using various problem solving tools.
