Job Description

    Senior Principal Product Marketing Manager, Partner Ecosystem for EdgeThe Portfolio Partner Ecosystem Marketing team drives the go-to-market strategy for cross-Red Hat and cross-portfolio solutions and initiatives. Our Go-To-Market (GTM) Portfolio Programs team works closely across the portfolio organization as well as with the Business Units (BUs), Marketing, Segment Sales, Verticals, and Partner Ecosystem teams to deliver GTM messaging and narratives, global sales plays and other core assets.The Senior Principal Product Marketing Manager supports Red Hat s cross-portfolio initiative relative to Red Hat s Partner Ecosystem value messaging. This role specifically focuses on Red Hat s Edge Computing software offerings that span across verticals, explaining the value of the ecosystem through the use of partner solutions with our platforms. This spans across all segments (Enterprise, Commercial and Industry) within 5 various partner types: Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Hyperscalers, Systems Integrators (SIs), Hardware, and Distirbutors (Disti). You will ensure alignment on themes, use cases, demand generation, content, evangelism, thought leadership and more. This role brings market intelligence and the voice of the customer to bear, helping Red Hat apply its products and services to customer-focused stories through our partner ecosystem and amplifying our overall value. This is an energetic and expanding team, focused on supporting the success of our partners in an open source, hybrid cloud world.You will be able to manage complex projects collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, working across multiple virtual teams. You will bring a unique combination of project management and solution marketing skills, as well as an understanding of open source technology and successful track record of supporting product/solutions marketing initiatives in a partner marketing capacity. You will assist in the development of our content and marketing strategy, with a primary focus on execution. What you will do
    • Ensure our go-to-market efforts always start with the customer, their challenges, and priorities, working in a customer-first, partner-always mindset and narrative
    • Combine portfolio with partner value messaging, working with subject matter experts to define requirements, identifying and positioning point of view priority workloads and market use cases (Edge, AI/ML, Security, Verticals, etc.) within various partner types
    • Match to our corporate portfolio use cases along the lines of Infrastructure, Automation and Application Development
    • Support our partner ecosystem in the areas of Edge (all use cases) and Infrastructure
    • Work with strategic Edge partners, Partner Marketing, Sales and our Partner Ecosystem organization to align messaging around co-created partner edge solutions, crafting materials that can be leveraged by all relevant partners for their marketing efforts
    • Create concise and compelling core content for our partner value messaging that embodies key attributes, value propositions, use cases and competitive differentiation
    • Create BOM (bill of materials) to support Red Hats partner-centric value proposition, delivering through applicable sales plays, partner campaigns, corporate and regional events, etc.; supporting the integrated marketing plan process with corporate portfolio themes
    • Conduct research and insights focused on various partner personas
    • Support enablement for partners & Red Hat sellers working within our partner ecosystem
    What you will bring
    • 10+ years of product/solutions marketing or similar experience
    • Prior experience working with or within the partner ecosystem
    • Strong ability to understand technologies and products, and translate highly technical content into customer stories
    • 5+ years of software industry experience, preferably within an area of cloud computing, infrastructure software, application development platforms and/or automation.
    • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related area
    • Knowledge of enterprise software market including key players, market trends, key industry analysts and technology direction
    • Global experience in the commercial segment preferred
    • Strong attention to detail and project management capabilities; ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at once while working in a highly complex environment
    • Proven track record of success in a fast-moving technology-based environment, with proven ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly
    • Ability to develop compelling marketing programs and requisite materials (themes, content, assets) targeted to personas and buying groups by program(s)
    • Strong written (storytelling) and oral communication skills with keen ability to explain and translate complex technology concepts into simple and intuitive communications
    • Strong and charismatic presenter, comfortable working with and presenting to all levels of an organization
    • Prior success working in an influence-driven cross-functional environment
    • Proactive and agile self-starter with a challenger mindset, strong work ethic and penchant for action
    • Experience with social media and digital marketing
    • Understanding of open source software
    • Metrics-focused and detail-oriented
    • Willingness to travel
