Job Description

  • Designation: Associate Scientist/Senior Research Associate- ImmunologyThe incumbent will support the Genomics team for various immunology projects and will be responsible for the execution of planned experiments with precision and punctuality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To apply the principles and understanding of cell types of the immune system for the current Genomics projects.
  • Isolation of PBMCs from the human whole blood.
  • Isolation and enrichment of human (and/or mouse) primary immune cells (T cells, B cells, NK cells, Macrophages, etc).
  • The successful candidate will work extensively with immune cells for immune cell phenotyping cells, cell-based assay development for T cell, B cell, Macrophage and other myeloid lineage cells.
  • Compiling, documentation and communication of compiled data.
  • Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety
  • Attend training on environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures imparted company
Educational Qualification:
  • M.Sc/M.Tech in Life sciences/Immunology/Cell biology
Technical/functional Skills:
  • Sound knowledge of Multi-color flow cytometry based immune phenotyping (highly preferred).
  • Well verse with cell proliferation and cytotoxicity assays.
  • Good working knowledge on cytokine release assays (both intracellular and soluble formats).
  • Binding assays.
  • Experience at culturing human primary T cells, NK cells, Macrophages.
  • Experience at handling ES cells/iPSCs is highly desirable.
  • Experience at transfection and/or transduction of Primary cells (T cells) and cell lines.
  • Real time PCR, ELISA, Western blotting.
  • Experience at culturing cell lines of various origins.
  • Excellent attention to experimental details, data documentation and clear communication of compiled data to team members.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and ability to communicate effectively with high transparency is essential.
  • Computer proficiency including the use of spreadsheet and word processing software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel and Power point.
Experience:
  • M.Sc with 2-9 years post qualification
  • M.Tech with 2-9 years post qualification

  • Good work ethics.
  • Good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with coworkers professionally.
  • General ability to thrive in a growing infrastructure and culture and also think out of box approach when troubleshooting and problem solving.
