Our engineers share a passion for making things work in challenging environments and seeing the impact of our work first-hand.What you will doOwn all technical aspects of Android application developmentPerform hands-on architecture, design, and development of mobile applicationsFunction as senior member of an agile team and help drive consistent mobile application development practicesTypically spend 80% of time writing code and testing, and remainder of time collaborating with stakeholders on ongoing product/platform releasesWrite code and unit tests, works on API specs, automation, and conducts code reviews and testingPerform ongoing refactoring of code and deliver continuous improvementProvide continuous support for ongoing application availabilityIdentify opportunities to adopt innovative technologiesWork closely with Director - Engineering on blueprints and planning of feature sets that interface with multiple platforms and productsWork with Director - Engineering to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and manage a list of technical requirements based on known defects, issues, industry trends, and upcoming technologiesDevelop deep understanding of tie-ins with other Harappa systems and platformsWhat you will needBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related subject4+ years of experience of developing, releasing, and maintaining Android mobile app using efficient, reusable, and maintainable code in KotlinExcellent expertise in Android SDK frameworks and fundamentalsAmazing debugging skills with the ability to write unit test casesExperience in cloud messaging and push notificationExperience in third party SDK integrationsExpertise in UI implementation - interactions, animations and designExpert in benchmarking, optimization, and performance tuningStrong computer science fundamentalsSolid understanding of algorithms and data structuresWho are youBe innovative and a creative thinker you are not afraid to try something new and inspire others to do so to improve upon solutions, systems, and processesHave a high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthinessHave a strong work ethicTake initiatives and work independently as well as part of the team
