  • Create the long term architectural vision and strategy for a services oriented software that operates at enterprise scale
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to meet immediate and longer-term objectives and
  • Help champion the balancing of new feature development against developing quality software
  • Ruthlessly prioritize and manage technical debt
  • Define and drive the delivery of software that builds technical advantage for Dataguise
  • Provide guidance and education to leadership on technology trends and applicability
  • Mentor engineering teams on best practices, standards, policies and guidelines created by the architecture team
  • Develop architectural standards, policies and guidelines for software development
  • Manage code review processes
QUALIFICATION
  • 4+ years of architecture and design experience in an engineering, development or technology role
  • 8+ years full-stack software development experience across multiple technologies, languages and frameworks
  • Deep expertise in Java and/or other object-oriented programming languages
  • Effective mentoring and leadership skills and an ability to successfully drive design and implementation of software projects through influence
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical details and challenges to a wide variety of audiences (including executive leadership)
  • Ability to look at solutions in creative and unconventional ways, recognize opportunities to innovate, and engage partners with a vision and strategy
  • Experience working with agile development, concepts and functions
  • Diverse background with data management systems and development of data applications
  • Pluses: CI/CD, familiarity with cloud technologies and services on Amazon AWS or equivalent, familiarity with distributed compute technologies like Map-Reduce and Spark
  • BS degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience
