Description and RequirementsFrom core to cloud to edge, BMC delivers the software and services that enable over 10,000 global customers, including 84% of the Forbes Global 100, to thrive in their ongoing evolution to an Autonomous Digital Enterprise.The Opportunity: Highly successful and geographically disperse Presales team, seek a Solution Engineer to work closely with our sales team and enterprise customers to determine how we can best serve their unique needs through creating awareness of our products.This is a highly visible role working with some of our most successful sales teams, supporting prestigious enterprise clients and new logo accounts.DSOM is a combination of our two-flagship portfolio (ITSM & ITOM) into a single, automated platform, which can deliver services faster, accelerate time-to-market, and lower cost and risk across your customers organizations. Therefore we are relevant and why analysts keep putting BMC DSOM solutions in the lead of their quadrants and competitive analysis. Experience Needed and Experience Offered:

• Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle to drive opportunities.
• Delivers and customizes technical presentations on BMC products.
• Builds new presentations for use by sales and other software consultants.
• Explains product capabilities, limitations and implementation. Can describe technical trade-offs and implementation alternatives.
• Actively participates in sales calls involving complex technical requirements or multiple hardware platforms.
• Identifies and develops innovative solutions to customer requirements.
• Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities requiring complex solutions.
• Writes trial plans for prospective clients. Provides technical support to these clients. Monitors progress of the client in using the product. Keeps the account team informed of the trial status.
• Identifies and resolves technical and business problems with the trial. Makes recommendations to terminate trials when necessary.
• Provides demonstrations and presentations for BMC Seminars and Tradeshows. Performs necessary equipment set-up and installation.
• Researches, composes and delivers responses to RFPs. Interacts with clients to clarify requirements.
• Reviews RFP responses for technical accuracy.
• Installs solutions at client sites as part of proof of concept or pilot.

What We Seek:

• Ability to communicate technical and business information to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers).
• Technically savvy and bias towards ITSM/Service Support/ITIL
• Experience working on our flagship ITSM portfolio:- BMC Remedy, Remedy OnDemand, BMC Discovery (ADDM) or any of our competitors products is highly advantageous
• You have a value based consultative approach, in which you can adopt and articulate the value of our solution to address the customer s challenges.
• Ability to develop a broad awareness of the clients technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible.
• Analyze customer needs through research and troubleshooting followed with recommending a solution.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
• Substantial experience working in an enterprise-type software consulting, implementation, support or training experience a major plus.
