Production is an integral part of Target s Marketing Team and is leveraged for static and video production services. As a Sr Art Director CG Design you ll have the opportunity to:
• Functional lead of the Real-time Asset team within the 3D Team
• Oversee the QA and Coaching team of 5 to 8 CG artists.
• Responsible for a delivering all the Real-time Asset as per Target standards.
• Contribute to develop the Target requirement standards and ensure the team is geared to deliver the same
• Will lead establishing a process for scale
• Will be responsible for the planning and estimation of timelines for the delivery of all projects that the team works on
• Should have worked extensively on complex organic and inorganic models and is a Subject matter expert.
• Understands the technical strengths of the team and uses the same during allocation and supervising the projects
• Work with the Technical Artists to develop tools/workflows to require for project/production to enhance workflow
• Adept with all the new technologies and plugins in that space
• Works with teams within 3D CGI to establish industry best practices for Target
• Set standards for files, file types and folder structures that will need to be followed internally as this process goes to scale
• Assists in solving challenges and delivering innovative new solutions with internal and global partners
• Should have understanding of the CAD files mainly around the product manufacturing information details (texture details requirements for different items)
Operational Leadership Responsibilities
• Oversees the daily work of the team
• Will be responsible for the output of the Team both from a timeline and quality perspective
• Assist Artist in solving technical challenges and help them in driving aesthetic vision for Assets/Brand.
• Develop team processes and standard guide documents
• Collaborates with the technical artists, product development and project management teams
• Plays a key role to help build process efficiencies
• Interacts regularly with the larger ecosystem
Other Responsibilities
• Researches and makes opportunities to learn new technologies within this space.
• Creates training materials to train new team members and agency partners.
• Has a deep understanding of 3Ds max, Maya and related tools and can make technology suggestions for better creative outputs
• Understanding for various mobile and web 3D platform and tech requirements.

• Graduate college degree or equivalent experience
• Education in CG/Animation/Gaming or equivalent experience
• Experience working on 3ds Max and other 3d related software
• 8+ years in 3D Asset Creation
• Has led a team of 10+
• Subject matter expert in the field
• Technical expertise
• Has experience leading a team for Run time assets/ Gaming Asset Production
• Extremely strong with both written and oral communication
• Ability to impact the larger ecosystem for CG preferred
• Similar experience from a Gaming industry preferred
