Support the Chief of Surgery in general surgery department strategic planning anddevelopment Teach and mentor Haitian surgical residents Perform between 80-100 surgeries per month Liaise with the supply chain team to provide feedback on necessary supplies Participate in meetings, workshops, and conferences with a primary function of buildinga network and following up with both current and potential partners Perform other duties as assignedQualifications Board certification in general surgery Completed an American Board of Surgery approved General Surgery Residency Fluency in French or Haitian Creole is a plus but not required (willingness to learn isnecessary) Strong communication with clinical and administrative teams, as well as members of thetraining program Dedicated to serving vulnerable populations
