Job Description

  • SW Test Engineer is responsible for segments of the Design and Execution of tests, meeting planned scope and schedule for his/her area of ownership.
  • Good Hands-On with Web based applications deployment for setting up Test Environments and Troubleshooting.
  • Understanding and Managing test data and test environments.
  • Bugs reporting, investigation and tracking to closure.
  • Reporting on progress and quality status.
  • Should be able to use Automation for faster Test execution and contribute to stabilizing and improving Automation suite by raising meaningful defects and prioritize them.
  • Close communication with test leads, management, other testers and developers.

Skills Required

  • Overall 1.5 - 3.5 year s experience required in software testing with very good understanding of testing processes and testing techniques

Testing

  • Very good understanding of different SDLCs approaches and associated risks
  • Very good understanding of testing practices (ISTQB preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of testing tools (test management, bug reporting, support tools)
  • Exposure and basic understanding of Performance and stress testing will be preferred

Domain

  • General knowledge on RF Planning and Network Optimization or Basic understanding of RF communications in various wireless technologies including GSM, WCDMA, LTE, HSPA , EvDO, and iDEN.

Working Conditions
