It is expressed through a wide range of activities, including traditional forms of mutual aid and self-help, formal service delivery, campaigning and advocacy, as well as other forms of civic participation. Volunteering represents an important form and manifestation of youth participation across the globe. The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) promotes volunteerism to support peace and development worldwide. Volunteerism can transform the pace and nature of development and it benefits both societies at large and the individual volunteer.UNVcontributes to peace and development by advocating for volunteerism globally, encouraging partners to integrate volunteerism into development programming, and mobilizing volunteers. Duties and Responsibilities Under the overall supervision of the UN Volunteers in India and directly reporting to the Programme Officer, the intern will support in designing infographics for UNV documents. Duties will include but not be limited to designing infographics and format data to tell a specific story through data visualization in the documents. Competencies Required Skills and Experience Bachelor/ Master degree/ diploma in graphic design, animation or a related field. Should have knowledge of the latest graphic design techniques. Should have experience in working on graphic designing software. Requirements The Intern should have a laptop with the necessary software for designing.
