Job Description

    Consultant - Public Policy and Social Impact (July22 to October22)- Conduct research, review, and analyses of current government policies/legislation on education, and prepare policy briefs and reports which will form the basis for policy advocacy supporting online education- To keep track of announcements or changes in policy by the central and state governments and analyze developments at the government ministries and agencies around higher education/education and prepare briefing papers and consultations.- Identify issues and areas that need to be addressed through the formulation of policy/legislation around online education and the EdTech ecosystem, especially in the field of higher education and skilling/upskilling- To provide support for industry events and roundtables- To engage with industry bodies/stakeholders as part of the policy team depending upon the requirement and to connect with relevant partners and stakeholders including NGOs, government agencies, and individuals for the effective implementation of social programs- To support Manager-Social Initiatives in end-to-end program management- To assist in the conceptualization of programs and projects based on the organizations mandat and preferences; to work on an implementation strategy and to make sure that programs and projects are implemented well- To connect, coordinate with students under scholarship programs and beneficiaries of any programs and document their journey and stories- Any other work related to public policy verticalsocial impact Educational Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors Degree in Public Policy/ Law/ Political Science or related discipline. A Masters degree with a specialization in related degrees will be given preference.- 1-3 years experience in Public Policy or a combination of policy and program management in social impact/ grassroots level- A demonstrated interest in public policy or law and social impact is essential.Key Competencies: - Research and Analytical skills- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment and also able to prioritize competing priorities- Critical thinking skills and strong written communications- Strong Interpersonal skills- Self-driven social impact enthusiast- Interest in designing and running social impact projects- Strong computer skill,
