  1. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
  2. Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
  3. Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected.
  4. Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order.
  5. Machine operators set-up, operate, and maintain machinery, usually in a manufacturing setting. They are responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.
  6. Experience as a machine operator.
  7. Knowledgeof production procedures.
  8. Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
  9. Analytical skills.
  10. Attention to detail.
  11. Teamwork.
  12. Physical stamina and strength.
  13. Handle heavy equipment.
