Creating beautiful visual content for blogs, landing pages, social media, and marketing materials is crucial to us, and we re currently looking for a talented Illustrator to help us reach the next level.By joining our team, you ll get the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with a team of top Editors, Designers, Illustrators, and front-end experts from around the world. Due to the remote nature of this role, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship. Resumes and communication must be submitted in English.Responsibilities:
• Create clean, consistent, and beautiful illustrations, icons and graphics that reflect Toptal s visual language.
• Collaborate with Blog Editors to create illustrations that dramatize editorial content and generate interest.
• Partner with Marketing stakeholders to develop visuals for sales materials, social media posts, videos, and websites.
• Typical projects include: infographics, editorial illustrations, icons, spot illustrations, data visualizations, event graphics for both print and digital media.
• Maintain a consistent and coherent visual language across all brand touchpoints.
• Deliver production-ready files within established deadlines.
In the first week, expect to:
• Meet the Design team and the Editorial team.
• Learn about the various illustration styles used on our online publications.
• Learn all about the Toptal brand and its visual expression.
• Learn the process we use to commission, produce and publish new art.
In the first month, expect to:
• Collaborate with Editors to create impactful visuals for blog articles.
• Become an expert on our various illustration styles.
• Work with Brand Designers to create icons and other graphics for online marketing initiatives.
• Create social media graphics.
In the first three months, expect to:
• Have created illustrations for a range of blog articles.
• Have developed good working relationships with Blog Editors.
• Demonstrated your ability to generate compelling and provocative illustration ideas.
• Contribute to the creative culture of the Design team and the Illustration team.
In the first six months, expect to:
• Fully understand how your illustrations affect online engagement.
• Develop and refine your process to be as efficient and creative as possible.
In the first year, expect to:
• Have created multiple illustrations for our many blogs.
• Become an integral part of our illustration team.
• Have generated a body of work that you can be proud of.
Requirements:
• You must have 3+ years of professional illustration experience.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch is a must.
• Experience with animations is preferred.
• Ability to productively collaborate with Editors and Writers to generate meaningful illustration ideas.
• Work effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of graphic assets.
• Be comfortable with a flexible and hard-working remote environment (your hours may not be a typical 9-5).
• Be willing to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them.
• Be open to receiving feedback.
