Location Pune Estimated total of direct and indirect reports 1 Reporting to (Administrative Manager) Project Leader X4 Reporting to (Functional Manager) Principal Engineer SteeringRole Objective 1.This is a position to intergrate complete module of Steering System for successful delivery for different projects of X4 Platform. 2.To lead complete Vehicle Module Team ( VMT) with team members from AQ,P & SC,QA,Manufacturing,TS,Vehicle Engineering,VATS. 3.Represent module in various forums of projects with VIG,Product Line,AQ,P & SC,VE,VATS,QA,TS teams as a single point contact ( SPOC) for the Module. 4.Ensure timely delivery of various project milestones for the module. Job Specifications Minimum education qualification BE/ B Tech /M Tech[Mechanical] Minimum experience requirement 8 to 15 Years Working knowledge requirement 1. In depth knowledge about Steering System of IC engine / EV architecture, design and validation. 2. In depth knowldge of Steering system aggregates like Steering Gear, Steering Column, ADAS 3. Working level knowledge about integration of other chassis underbody aggregates like suspension,brakes ,engine mounts,fuel & exhaust 4. Understanding of testing techniques, viz. Vehicle level vallidation and componennt level validation inhouse & at supplier end. 5.Knowledge of vehicle validation process, robust DVP creation. 6. Basic knowledge about regulatory requirements applicable to IC engine vehicles. 7. In-depth knowledge of automotive design/ development / testing/ CAE activities. EducationWork ExperienceKey Responsibilities 1. Contribution to planning 1. Customer Perspective - -Variance in Delivery of projects milestones,for Steering system , not more than 4 weeks except SOP & SOS. - Manpower planning & estimates for D & D costs, including conversion,FSS & TKH costs , based on project scope. - Plan for reduction in IPTV & JDP score related to Steering issues. - Plan for meeting cost reduction targtes through VAVE techniques & various levers applications. - Plan for IPR filing related to Steering system. 2. Financial Perspective - Variance from Budget ( Charge off & Deferral) of conversion & FSS costs for Steering system to be less than 10%. - Meet implementation & release targets of VAVE ideas, for Steering system, as per set targets. 3. Process Perspective- -Field Issues ,coming through QRM ,resolution within 90 days. 4. Learning & Growth Perspective- -Numbers IPR worthy ideas filed. 2. Key actions and decisions (Long term and Short term) - Lead Steering systems development of New and all variants programs on passanger Cars. - Ensure timely delivery of Steeringl system Module to various programmes as per milestones defined. -Lead Steering systems issue resolution and corrective actions on current production and warranty issues. - Represent Steering team in Program level meetings as well as quality and manufacturing CFT and review meetings. - Drive resolution of issues and conflicts of Steering aggregates with other vehicle aggregates and provide clear direction to chassis team - Monitor progress status of Steering System deliverables with respect to overall program timing and resolve any bottlenecks. Escalate issues if any. - Coordinate major prototype builds for Steering for the program. - Coordinate delivery of ALL programs deliverables like performance targets signoff, various milestone etc - Co-ordiation of DMU reviews for Steering aggregates projectwise.
