Job Description

IntroductionThe infrastructure running industries likes transportation, energy, insurance, banking or healthcare is quickly changing as the world s relationship with technology evolves. Our Infrastructure Specialists are responsible for keeping up with these latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs an IT Specialist, you will be an exemplary technical leader in your areas of expertise. You will be responsible in implementation (build / install / configure / upgrade / migrate) on the required platforms (cloud & non-cloud) as per the design requirements. Need to be flexible to achieve the client expectations & business requirementsResponsibilities:

  • The vSAN Specialist is responsible for deploying the VMWARE vSAN components based on the proposed solution
  • Perform detailed analysis and iron-out any gaps in the proposed solution based on the deliverables provided by Architect
  • Collaborate with Architects to understand the proposed solution before the build phase.
  • Develop any technical documents/work products required to be submitted as an Artefact (e.g. Create Test Cases, Run books, Build sheet & Tech plan, etc.)
  • Implement and assess the Infrastructure deployed in accordance with the Client or Organization standards by complying to their compliance regulatory.
  • Complete performance assessment, Datastore requirement and plan upgrade of the storage component to meet the business demands.
  • Perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Should have a minimum of 7 years of Hands-on experience in VMware Administration skills.
  • Should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Virtualization skills
  • Experience in Storage Administration
  • VMware Specialist vSAN certification is must
  • Good knowledge of Datacenter Virtualization, Software-defined Data Center (SDDC), and Storage technologies
  • Understanding the vSphere & vSAN components and their functions in the infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience in the field of storage, especially block storage and NAS
  • In-Depth knowledge with vSAN Architecture
  • Experience with planning, deployment, configuration and administrator of vSAN Cluster, vSAN Datastores & vSAN Encryption
  • Configure and manage vSAN Stretched Cluster
  • Hands-on experience with Installation and configuration of ESXi hosts
  • In-Depth knowledge with configuring and troubleshoot vSAN Multipathing, WWNs, iSCSI & NFS and storage technologies supported by vSAN
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Exposure in handling and troubleshooting different Enterprise level x86 Hardware platforms like IBM, Dell, HP & Cisco UCS
  • Hands-on experience with one of the Storage technologies
