Job Description

    Job Title: Assistant AccountantLocation: NSN Towers, SSP Nagar (S-Bend), Rasampalayam, Erode, Tamil Nadu 638004.Department: Finance & AccountsJob Summary:Bharani Velli Maaligai (BVM) is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to support our finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will assist in managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.1. Financial Record Keeping & Reporting Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, receipts, and ledgers. Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss accounts. Generate reports on cash flow, expenses, and account reconciliations.3. Bank & Cash Transactions Manage daily cash transactions and ensure proper documentation. Assist in bank reconciliation, ensuring that all bank statements match company records.4. Taxation & Compliance Support the preparation of GST, TDS, and other tax-related filings. Ensure compliance with financial policies and statutory requirements. Assist in coordinating with auditors for internal and external audits.5. Inventory & Cost Management Maintain accurate stock and inventory records in coordination with the warehouse team. Assist in cost analysis and reporting for inventory valuation.Maintain records of salary disbursements and statutory deductions.7. Software & Data Management Update and maintain financial data in accounting software (Tally/ERP/SAP). Generate financial reports and assist in data analysis for decision-making.8. Coordination & Support Work closely with the finance team to improve financial efficiency. Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Provide administrative support in document filing and record-keeping.Required Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles (preferably in retail or jewelry industry). Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP). Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and tax compliance. Good knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
