Job Description

    Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager of Engineering with a focus on Sales and Operations. This individual will be responsible for managing the engineering team while coordinating the sales, operational, and engineering efforts to achieve company goals. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in engineering, sales operations, and process improvement, and will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency and profitability of our business operations.Key Responsibilities: Sales & Operations Coordination: Support the alignment of engineering projects with sales strategies to ensure smooth execution and delivery. Provide technical guidance to the sales team on product capabilities, project feasibility, and cost estimation. Drive operational efficiency through close coordination between sales, engineering, and production teams. Oversee the timely resolution of any operational or engineering-related issues impacting sales efforts. Team Management & Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of engineers, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Foster a collaborative environment between engineering, sales, and operations teams. Evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback, and promote continuous professional development. Project Management: Plan, manage, and execute engineering projects from conception to completion while ensuring alignment with sales objectives and customer expectations. Track project progress, ensuring milestones are met, and effectively manage any risks or delays. Ensure all engineering designs and specifications meet both internal and customer requirements. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization: Continuously assess and improve engineering processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Implement best practices in engineering design, project management, and operational efficiency. Develop and optimize workflows to meet sales and operational targets while maintaining quality standards. Customer Interaction & Support: Assist in client-facing sales meetings, providing technical expertise to support product presentations and proposals. Address customer inquiries and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively. Ensure all product specifications and technical deliverables meet customer expectations. Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Collaborate with the sales team to create forecasts for project delivery, ensuring that all targets are met within the expected timelines and budgets. Provide regular reports to management on project progress, sales performance, and operational efficiencies. Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all engineering projects comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Establish and enforce quality control processes to maintain high engineering standards across all projects.Qualifications & Skills: Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering, sales operations, or project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong background in both engineering and operations, preferably within [Air Compressor Industry]. Proven track record of successfully managing engineering teams and driving cross-functional collaboration between sales and operations. Excellent project management skills with experience in managing complex projects from initiation to completion. Strong understanding of sales processes, including client interaction, proposal development, and customer relationship management. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategies for improvement. Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, etc.). Bachelors degree in Mechanical or EEE Engineering or a related field.Working Conditions: Full-time position. Travel may be required for site visits or client meetings.
