Job Description

    The Distribution Delivery Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing the delivery of products from the distribution center to customers or retail locations. This role ensures efficient delivery operations, adherence to quality standards, and excellent customer service while optimizing logistical processes.Key Responsibilities: Delivery Coordination: Plan and oversee the delivery of goods from the distribution center to designated locations. Ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining product quality and integrity. Collaborate with the logistics team to manage schedules and delivery routes. Route and Logistics Management: Optimize delivery routes using maps, GPS, or route planning tools to reduce time and fuel costs. Monitor the progress of deliveries and address any delays or issues promptly. Coordinate with fleet drivers to ensure adherence to assigned routes and schedules. Product Handling: Handle products with care, especially fragile or perishable items, to ensure safe transport. Verify the accuracy of shipment details (e.g., quantity, type) before dispatch. Customer Interaction: Communicate courteously with customers or retail partners during deliveries. Verify delivery details, such as addresses and order confirmation, upon arrival. Address any basic inquiries or escalate complex issues to the operations team. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and transportation. Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations for deliveries. Order and Inventory Reporting: Track and document the status of orders, including delivered, delayed, or returned items. Maintain accurate records in order management systems or delivery logs. Report discrepancies or issues with inventory or deliveries to the operations manager. Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure delivery vehicles are well-maintained, clean, and roadworthy.
