Job Description

    Oshadi Collective is based in Erode, Tamil Nadu, creating regenerative fashion system from soil up. We are involved in regenerative cotton farming extensively growing our acreage and team every season.Regenerative farming have now become core part of our business and aligning with our mission of setting up permanent agricultural systems locally, Oshadi Collective is seeking Farm Officer to work with our farm team to grow our existing operations.This is a hands-on role, responsible for managing our farming operations and coordinating with our farm management team and partner farmers. Farm officer will report directly to the General Manager and Farm Manager & will collaborate with the entire farm team.QualificationB.Sc or M.Sc in Agriculture/ Organic agriculture/ Horticulture/ Agronomy/ Agroforestry/ Soil science or any related studies.Experienced candidates and freshers can apply.Job Description Provide overall thematic guidance on agriculture and allied activities to farmers. Extensive Field visits to partnered farms; an average of 60kms of travel per day. Supervision of daily farming activities. Ensure nutrient management, irrigation, and other treatments are performed effectively and in line with farm plan. Involve and assist in the implementation of agriculture-related management and monitoring of the same. Oversees harvest functions such as facility inspections, sanitary equipment for field work, daily harvest records and more. Providing active technical support to various agriculture and allied activities and responding to queries of the partnered farmers being undertaken in different places. Assist in preparation of bio fertilizers, vermicompost and natural pest repellents. Data collection and analysis of various agricultural interventions studies. Technical support and guidance to farmers on regenerative cultivation. Support the conduct of trainings & development manuals for farmers. Prepare reports, produce written outputs of the implementation work and research outcomes. Document the best practices and maintaining data base. Perform any other team responsibilities / duties as assigned from time to time. Help supervise irrigation, planting, weeding, spraying, growing, and harvesting Reaching out to local vendors for inputs and services will be necessary. Full-time job,Key Skills Strong relationship-building and networking skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Excellent supervisory, organisational and interpersonal skills. Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner. Possess a positive, proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
