The ideal candidate will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our MS SQL databases. You will ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security of the databases that support our business applications. This role will also involve troubleshooting and resolving database problems, as well as proactive maintenance to ensure that standards and best practices are met.Roles & Responsibilities: Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, fromdevelopment to mission-critical production systems. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring systemhealth and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problemresolution end-to-end. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes todatabase systems. Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours. Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-trainingto other peers and team members.Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 1-4 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role. Strong proficiency in MS SQL Server database management, including database design,implementation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models. Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server. Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts. Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring andtroubleshooting tools. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Flexible, team-oriented collaborator willing to learn and share ideas. Certification in MS SQL Server (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) is a plus. Experience with other RDBMS systems (MySQL, Oracle) is advantageous. Experience in cloud-based database technologies (Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS) isa plus,
