Job Description

    Job Title:Area Sales Manager (ASM)Location:Delhi/NCRDepartment: SalesReports To: Sales Manager / Regional Sales ManagerJob Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and driven Assistant Sales Manager (ASM) with 2 to 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. The ASM will play a pivotal role in driving sales, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and ensuring the growth of the assigned product portfolio. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-oriented, and have a thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical sector.Key Responsibilities:
    • Sales & Business Development:
      • Assist in implementing the sales strategy for assigned products in the region.
      • Achieve sales targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) within the territory.
      • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
      • Identify new business opportunities and expand the market share.
      • Conduct regular visits to healthcare professionals, institutions, and distributors.
    • Team Management:
      • Assist in managing a team of medical representatives and ensure their performance aligns with sales goals.
      • Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to team members to enhance productivity and knowledge of products.
      • Monitor and evaluate the teams activities, providing regular feedback and motivation to meet targets.
    • Market Intelligence:
      • Gather and analyze competitor information, market trends, and customer feedback to support decision-making.
      • Report on competitor activities and provide insights to help develop strategies.
      • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and medical developments relevant to the product portfolio.
    • Reporting & Analysis:
      • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management.
      • Analyze sales performance, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
      • Track and manage expenses, ensuring efficient use of company resources.
    • Compliance & Ethics:
      • Ensure all sales activities comply with the companys policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.
      • Promote the responsible use of pharmaceutical products while adhering to industry regulations.
    Qualifications & Skills:
    • Education: Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field. MBA in Sales/Marketing is a plus.
    • Experience: 2 to 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or similar roles.
    • Skills:
      • Proven track record in sales within the pharmaceutical industry.
      • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, industry regulations, and market trends.
      • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
      • Leadership capabilities with experience in team management.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
      • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
