Job Description

    - Partner with Transportation/Logistics and Business leaders to determine the best portfolio strategy to support companys growth and cost-containment requirements, execute competitive bids, and secure the right carriers and solutions to deliver the desired results.- Strategic Sourcing, RFP Facilitation, and Negotiation- Everyday execution requires confidence, heightened curiosity to dig deep into the business, action-orientation, and effective communication and project management skills.- Engage deeply in the business to understand needs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement- Monitor macroeconomic trends and cost drivers (fuel, labor, capacity) to inform the sourcing and negotiation process- Collaborate with Stakeholders to define sourcing strategies that unlock potential from within our operations- Independently manage multiple, complex sourcing events, ensuring the highest standards of objectivity, fairness, and ethics- Use analytics to provide sound recommendations for negotiation and awards- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and capture value through the negotiation processContracting and Risk MitigationThis role acts a liaison across multiple parties to, uphold the standards and policies of the company, and protect the company from risk. - Partner with legal and internal business teams to standardize and negotiate contracts that secure business value, mitigate risk, and ensure supplier performance- Guarantee adequate supplier certification to company Standards- Educate clients and recommend steps to mitigate, manage, and avoid inherent risks in the industry and explicit risks identified with suppliers. - Protect company and its employees from risk, by assuming responsibility for the best-in-class sourcing and procurement process and compliance to our PolicyCategory Strategy DevelopmentEffective category strategy development is the key to delivering breakthrough results for the business.
