Job Description

Assists the Senior Manager Credit in managing credit, collection and claims in accordance with established policies, practices, and procedures in a manner that will result in maximum sales, and sound receivables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains, under the supervision of the Senior Manager Credit, the companys credit and collection policies as well as claims policies, practices, and procedures
  • Maintains an overall view of open issues on customers accounts, ensuring that all past due issues and claims issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Secure timely collection of receivables by working closely with the customer, sales and other finance teams and resolving the causes of non- payment
  • Drive timely collection by following up on overdue invoices with customers
  • Periodical reconciliation of all customer accounts
  • Timely settlement of customer claims post due diligence in line with the company s claims policies SOP
  • Monthly issue of statements
  • Preparation of customer payment plans, enabling billing post due diligence and blocking of customer accounts, wherever need be
  • Monthly bad debt provision calculation
  • Credit limit maintenance and periodic reviews with management
  • Application of adequate credit control to maximise working capital
  • Ensure the safekeeping and integrity of critical financial reports and data
  • Apply all policies and procedures as laid out in the adidas Group policies and guidelines

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excel/PPT: advanced
  • Good intra- personnel skills, good at analytical tools, negotiation competencies
  • Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: Degree in business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related filed Minimum of 3 years working experience in the respective area ,
